You Can Help

"Neighbors Helping Neighbors"

Volunteers make up the heart of our organization. RCAM cannot do the work that we do without the assistance of volunteers. Some of the tasks volunteers have taken on include: lending a hand one day a week to assist us with clerical work, clean the shelter when a family leaves, transport clients to medical appointments, supervise workgroups as they repair homes in the area, assist RCAM with computer skills and to publicize the RCAM at the local fairs this summer and fall.

Volunteers also sit on our Board of Directors and the Program Committees for the RCAM. These volunteers set policies and procedures, and help to steer the agency towards its goals and mission.

Financial Support

The RCAM welcomes your Tax deductible support in the form of individual donations, bequests, planned gifts, and memoriam. We also accept good, useable donations in the form of shelter materials and supplies, office supplies, food and clothing, building materials and supplies, diapers and infant furniture are also accepted.
For more information on donating to the RCAM please call the office at one of the numbers listed above.

Volunteer Opportunities

Clerical Assistant: If you have one day a week to assist with answering phones, taking messages and general office aid, we need you. Must be cheery and personable!

Volunteer Drivers:  Do you have one day a week to drive elderly/low income clients to various medical and other appointments? We are in the process of building a roster of volunteers willing to assist one day a week transporting people. You must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and a clean driving record.

Committee Members:  If assisting a program as they do work toward goals, set policies for programs and working with a group of people who have the same interests sounds like you, consider volunteering for a Program Committee. You pick the program that is near and dear to you, give RCAM one day a month for a  meeting. (although some committees will meet more depending on time of year) Look through the programs offered by the RCAM on this web site then give us a call!!!!

You can also volunteer some of your time with one or more of our programs directly, we have our Housing Program, Homelessness Prevention Services Program (formerly the Outreach Program), Gardening and Faith In Action. To learn more about these programs visit our "Programs" section of this web site!!!
